1. What is online coaching?
Online coaching is an interactive exchange between the healthcare practitioner and the client by e-mail. The client consults the licensed women’s health care professional, who is a Nurse Practitioner, regarding health and wellness related concerns.The areas of prevention, wellness and complementary/ integrative topics and primary care are discussed.
2. What will the coaching involve?
The client completes a self-test and health history form. The health professional reviews the information submitted by the client by e-mail or fax. . If further clarification of the information presented is needed, the coach will contact the client for additional information. The coach replies based on the information
the person submitted.
3. Will the coach have unlimited contact with the client?
The client will be sent health and wellness suggestions by e-mail. The
suggestions will be specifically related to the health concerns
described by the client. In some cases the client will have a 15 minute follow-up
for e-mail coaching.
4. What happens after the client follows the initial suggestions?
After following the primary suggestions, clients will have pre-arranged follow-up appointment.
5. What will the suggestions include?
The recommendations and suggestions may include nutrition counseling, exercise instructions, lifestyle counseling, aromatherapy education, self help Jin Shin Jyutsu/Touch Therapy, music therapy suggestions or color therapy suggestions; or referral to their primary care provider.
6. Do you have referral resources?
When services are out of the scope of practice of the health care professional,
the client will be referred to the appropriate resource. Resources are also listed elsewhere on this site. Resources will include, physicians, pharmacists, nurse midwives, nutritionists, herbalists, massage therapists and printed information.
7. What is the cost of a consultation?
The cost depends on the level of entry into the coaching program.
